SPILLED COFFEE

Got up this morning I was running late

Tried to call in, but had not paid my rates

Then I spilled my coffee all up the wall

And that ol’ car of mine decided to stall

That’s all my life has dealt me so far

I walked to a phone booth and called for a tow

The ol’ guy said “I can get there in an hour or so”

So I called up my boss and I tried to explain

But that man he ain’t been nothin’ but a pain

 

Spilled coffee…

 

Well I lost my job, and my car was found dead

I should’ve just pulled the covers up over my head

Cause now I ain’t got a dime to pay next months rent

How the hell you keep livin’ when you ain’t got a cent?
