SNOW FALLS

The snow falls on Wichita

it’s been that way for years

And they say for at least a month

the roads ain’t been clear

And I sit three hundred miles away

White flakes fall all through the night

and in the morning it’s gray

Flaming fires in twilight

can’t keep the chill at bay

And I sit three hundred miles away

Three hundred miles don’t seem like much

but it’s just enough

For the southern breeze to start to blow

And I’m feeling a bit of warmth in my heart

And it’s more than just an ember’s glow

And I just want you to know I won’t be coming home

I want you to know I won’t be coming home

The snow falls on Wichita

The snow falls on Wichita

The snow falls on Wichita

It’s been that way for years
